"This year, despite being a member of my school's speech and debate program for quite some time, I decided to push myself outside of my comfort zone by attempting to compete in one of the notoriously most difficult events in the competition - Congressional debate. While I was confused, lost, and honestly a little bit scared, Vincent and Aarnav eased my concerns with their careful instruction and their intelligent feedback. At the very start, they helped me create a personal plan up until the date of the tournament to prepare for exactly what I needed to do to succeed. Vincent's personal mantra is, "If you fail to plan, you're planning to fail." As they would give me feedback on practice speeches, stayed up late at night with me to change phrasing in my speeches, and motivated to work my hardest, I learned that Inspire was far more than just a place to learn speech and debate - It was a community and family of people who truly wanted to see me succeed. It was only after I joined Inspire when I started seeing success in competitions in Congressional Debate. The 1on1 Inspire sessions not only created a personalized session for me to grow my craft, but also helped remind me that Speech and Debate is far more of an individual journey than a group one. And through every rocky bump, and through every success, Inspire was with me."
